Based off of the campaign map Exodus
Caracalla Park, New Alexandria, Reach
Beachhead is located towards the end of Exodus after the Pelican gunner sequence. The player storms the beach with several marines and faces several Wraiths, Ghosts and waves of enemies. The player then has to active a rocket to finish the level. Beachhead is one of the few Firefight missions to feature vehicles initially accesible on the level in Halo: Reach. The map is fairly open with one main building and a large beach with a bridge across from one main landing zone to another. The player starts in the building area spawn with the Covenant filling in from the beach and various drop off points.
Based off of the campaign map Long Night of Solace.
Inside the Ardent Prayer over Reach
Taking place inside of the Ardent Prayer that is over Reach, Corvette is part of the Long Night of Solace mission. The firefight area is located after the Sabre sequence and serves as an area where the player has to defeat a certain amount of enemies before progressing. It is one of the smallest Firefight maps in Halo: Reach. It is a circular map with three main areas where enemies spawn. The middle ramp, and two outlying ramps opposite the player spawn area serve as the main paths for Covenant forces with Spirit drops of more Covenant that appear from the hangars sides.
Based off of the campaign map Oni Sword Base
Near Babd Catha Ice Shelf in Eposz, Reach
Courtyard takes place in the outer courtyard of ONI Sword Base. It’s the landing zone in the level ONI Sword Base which is the second level in the campaign after Winter Contingency. This is right in the beginning of the level, but is revisited later on in the mission when Sword Base is attacked directly. The second time through you can proceed down ramps into the next part of the level.
Based off of the campaign map The Package
Beneath ONI Sword Base
Glacier is towards the end of the mission The Package. Glacier houses the underground base of Dr. Halsey and is the location where the A.I. Cortana was created. The underground base is part of a latchkey concept where a Forerunner construct is housed. The map Glacier is similar to the ending of The Package sans the turrets in the campaign mission.
Based off of the campaign map The Pillar of Autumn
Near Sinoviet ship breaking facility, Aszod, Reach
Holdout marks the end of The Pillar of Autumn mission in the campaign. The firefight area is a bridge between the very last sequence of the campaign mission and the near end part of the mission before Emile dies. Noble Six has to defend the Pillar of Autumn in the Holdout area from the Covenant before advancing further through the level. The map has one main building, three dropzones on the opposite part of the map and a high ground where players can ‘holdout’ against waves of Covenant forces.
Based off of the campaign map Halo from Halo: Combat Evolved
Installation 04, Halo
Installation 04 is based off of the area of the same name from Halo: Combat Evolved. It marks the first time in Firefight history that ODST’s and Marines can fight alongside the player. In addition to weapon drops, Pelicans may also drop a Warthog with ODST’s to aid the player. The map is almost exactly the same as the Halo: Combat Evolved campaign mission but tweaked with Halo: Reach in mind. The map has a Forerunner stronghold and an outlying area marked with trees, rocks and more Forerunner terrain. There are various paths throughout the construct and a man cannon that allows Covenant enemies to travel to the player.

Based off of the campaign map The Package
Near ONI Sword Base
This map is based off of the outside area of The Package. It is also the same area seen in ONI Sword Base with more Covenant forces including anti-aircraft gun emplacements. The player has cover options in the gun emplacements and a building with ammunition. There is a roof that provides a vantage point but offers minimal protection from incoming ships, Skirmishers, and Jetpack Elites. The map features gun emplacements that are similar to the Mantis gun emplacements that were first seen in the Battle of Voi in Halo 3.
Central Fire Zone
Based off of the campaign map Winter Contingency
Abandoned Farm on Reach
Overlook was one of the first maps seen in the Halo: Reach Beta. It was the first Firefight map to showcase the Generator Defense mode and was offered late in the Halo: Reach Beta. The firefight level takes place near the beginning of the mission Winter Contingency before Noble Team encounters any Elites in the battlefield. The map layout has an area underneath the main stronghold and various pathways out of the main base. There is a long sloping hill that leads down to a river which has various terrain including small hills and a rocky mountainside which makes up the barrier of the stage. The main stronghold is circular and has the heigh advantage over the invading Covenant forces.
Based off of the campaign map Nightfall
Viery Territory, Reach
Waterfront is midway through the Nightfall mission. In the campaign it is an optional area where Noble Six and Jun are tasked with defending a milita of humans. Waterfront has one main circular base with additional areas that branch out from the main area. The facility is a small-sized industrial zone that takes place during the night time. Phantoms can drop Covenant forces anywhere in the main vicinity which makes the main base the key defense point for the Spartans. At some points in the level Jackal snipers with Focus Rifles appear on the cliffside.
